OLI Live Center Introduction
OLI Machine Live Center
Live Center is a kind of machine tool accessories, which plays a very important role in machine tool accessories, and is also very important for the processing of workpieces. When we usually use Live Center, we often encounter two Live Center installation artifacts at the same time. Compared with using one, it is more difficult, so there are many things to pay attention to.
The difference between Dead Center and Live Center and how to disassemble
Live Center
Dead Center
Alloy Dead Center and Live Center are two major classifications of center: Dead Center has strong bearing capacity and can perform fine processing on objects, but it can easily form damage to internal bearings; Live Center’s processing accuracy and acceptance are inferior to Dead Center, But it has strong stability.
Once the Center has problems in operation, it will be replaced in time, and the staff is mainly to replace the Center’s internal bearings.
Center is divided into Dead Center and Live Center. Center is mainly composed of thimble, clamping equipment, housing, fixing pin, bearing and mandrel. One end of the Center can top the center hole or the inner hole of the pipe material, and the other end can have a spherical or conical part at the top end. When the part is not allowed or unable to punch the center hole, the turning equipment can be directly clamped by the clamping device. The housing and the mandrel are drilled with pin holes, and the fixed pins are inserted or removed to complete the life and death of the Center. Center can also be used for drilling, threading and reaming of workpieces.
How to repair Live Center
When we use Live Center, the phenomenon that Live Center suddenly freezes and does not rotate often occurs. When the above phenomenon occurs, we should immediately stop and check the cause. Check whether the problem is the bearing or the tip is damaged. According to the fault condition of different reasons, the maintenance can be carried out reasonably and effectively.
(1) If it is a bearing problem, remove the cover and take it out, and remove the bearing. On the three-jaw self-centering chuck, install the casting head to clamp the end face of the car, match the inner hole with the Live Center bearing, and match the clearance to 0.005 ~ 0.01mm. Prepare a chicken chuck (can be put on the Live Center), install the chicken chuck on the Live Center and tighten it, and then put in a cast iron sleeve. Put the chicken chuck on the jaws and turn the small carriage 30 counterclockwise. Adjust the angle to turn. The 60 cone surface can be completely turned up. Remove this Live Center, replace it with a new bearing, and install it to use. This method is more troublesome.
(2) If the Live Center rotates normally, only the tip is damaged. In order to solve this situation, our car has a set with a stage, and it is screwed on the Live Center with two M10 hex screws. Then, the lathe chuck is removed, the spindle hole is cleaned, and the Live Center is inserted into the tapered hole (if it is Morse No. 4 Live Center, plus variable diameter sleeve). Correct the 60 conical surface with the shred parting table and tighten 2 M6 screws at the same time. This method makes it easy to modify Live Center. When using it, choose the Live Center reasonably, the roughing lathe selects the Live Center with low precision, and the finishing lathe selects the Live Center with high precision.
